Story of an Object is built and operated by Pine Desk Software, LLC. Your privacy matters to us. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.

What we collect

Account information. When you sign up we collect your email address to authenticate you and send you account-related emails.
Content you upload. Images, documents, and the text you add are stored on our servers so the service works as intended. Your content is yours.
Basic server logs. We log IP addresses and request metadata for security and to diagnose errors. Logs are retained for 30 days.

What we don't do

We do not sell your data. We do not run ads. We do not share your information with third parties except the infrastructure providers needed to operate the service (AWS for hosting and email).

How we secure your data

All data is encrypted in transit via TLS. We use AWS infrastructure with encrypted storage at rest.

Deleting your account

You can delete your account at any time from your account settings. Your content will be permanently removed from our systems within 30 days.
